Morganics

Farmers in Southeast Asia are stuck in a cycle: the cost of regenerative tools is rising, the benefits take time to materialize, and traditional financing rarely supports long-term soil health.

Morganic wants to change this using blockchain to direct capital straight to smallholder farmers. The goal is to help farmers adopt regenerative methods, improve yields without harmful pesticides, and strengthen food systems from the ground up.

The $HECTR token is designed to be the backbone of this model: a transparent, on-chain way to fund farmers, reward better farming practices, and demonstrate real environmental impact.

The Challenge.

Morganics approached Troon to “launch a token” that could fund regenerative tools and verifiably track impact, but they had three open questions:

  • How should a mission-driven token launch?
There are multiple launch mechanisms in the Web3 space, each with different levels of decentralization, community ownership, price discovery dynamics, and operational control. Morganics needed guidance on which path best aligned with their long-term mission.
  • Which blockchain would provide the stability and scalability required?
Regenerative programs depend on frequent, transparent transactions tied to farmer incentives. This meant identifying a chain with low fees, strong tooling, and a development ecosystem capable of supporting thousands of micro-interactions.
  • What is the real utility of the token?
Beyond fundraising, how could $HECTR deliver ongoing value to farmers, platform partners, and impact backers?

Morganics had the right mission but needed clarity, risk analysis, and a strategy that matched their long-term goals, instead of just a quick launch.

Our Strategy.

Troon stepped in as a technical and crypto consultancy, bringing clarity to the decision-making process and helping Morganics design a token ecosystem aligned with their agricultural vision.

  • After reviewing their goals, impact model, and token utility, we recommended against a centralized IEO launch. While IEOs can work well for fast, exchange-driven releases, their centralized pricing, limited community participation, and dependency on external timelines are not ideal for early-stage, mission-first projects. Morganics needed flexibility, transparency, and an approach that put community alignment at the core.

Instead, we guided the team toward an IDO-first strategy. A more transparent and community-oriented model that encourages healthier long-term price discovery and gives Morganics full control over its rollout.

  • To support scalable, low-cost farmer incentives, we recommended deploying $HECTR on Base (an Ethereum Layer 2) due to its low fees, EVM compatibility, strong developer ecosystem, and reliable environment for high-frequency on-chain activity.
  • We collaborated with the team to ensure the token served real-world outcomes:
    • Allocating a portion of the token supply to farmer credit reserves
    • Issuing non-transferable credits through smart contracts
    • Enabling on-chain verification of regenerative inputs
    • Future staking pathways connected to measurable impact

Troon served as a technical advisor helping Morganics evaluate decisions through the lens of long-term sustainability rather than short-term momentum. We also established guardrails around treasury structure, liquidity planning, and governance to ensure the ecosystem remains secure, transparent, and mission-aligned as it grows.

Conclusion

With a clearer strategy and a safer launch path, Morganics is now positioned to build a token ecosystem that genuinely supports farmers. The shift to an IDO approach and a stable Layer 2 chain gives them the flexibility to grow responsibly while keeping the focus where it belongs: enabling regenerative agriculture at scale.

The result is a token framework built for real impact: transparent funding flows, verifiable regenerative practices, and incentives that can scale across farming communities.

Morganics is now fully prepared for a mainnet launch.
