Troon Technologies Helps Power Canada’s First AI Search Tool for Municipal Websites
Ontario, Canada – October 1, 2025 – Troon Technologies is proud to announce its role as the innovation partner behind municiPal AI, the first AI-powered search tool designed specifically for municipal websites, which officially launched today with the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Developed by Troon Technologies and Bright Light Content, municiPal AI transforms municipal websites into powerful, resident-friendly hubs. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, municiPal AI integrates directly into a municipality’s website search bar, delivering fast, accurate answers through both AI-generated overviews and a conversational chat option.
In its first three days of operation, municiPal AI handled more than 1,000 resident questions with a 97% reported accuracy rate—a clear signal of its impact on accessibility and community connection.

Looking Ahead
municiPal AI is now available to municipalities across Canada.
